Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about TwinMe and your digital twin.

Getting Started

What is a digital twin?

A digital twin is a virtual representation of you built from your health data. It combines your answers to questionnaires, visual analysis (face, skin, eyes), and biomarker test results to create a comprehensive picture of your health that evolves over time.

How do I create my digital twin?

Simply create a free account at portal.twinme.ai. You'll start by answering some health questionnaires and can upload photos for visual analysis. No purchase is required to get started—you can add biomarker kits later to deepen your twin's understanding.

Is TwinMe free to use?

Yes! Creating your digital twin is free. You get access to health questionnaires, visual biomarker analysis (face, skin, eyes), basic health scores, and TwinMe points. Premium insights from biomarker kits are available for purchase when you're ready.

What's the difference between TwinMe and BioTwin?

TwinMe is the consumer-facing platform for individuals who want to track their personal health. BioTwin is our parent company that provides digital twin technology to healthcare professionals, researchers, and clinical settings.

Data & Privacy

Who owns my health data?

You do. Your health data belongs to you. We store it securely and process it to provide insights, but you maintain full control. You can export all your data anytime and request complete deletion.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use AES-256 encryption for data at rest and in transit, store data in EU-compliant data centers, and follow GDPR standards globally. We undergo regular security audits and never sell your personal data.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes, anytime. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data from your settings. We process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm when complete.

Do you share my data with third parties?

Never without your explicit consent. We don't sell your data. If you opt into research participation, your data is anonymized before being used. Healthcare provider sharing is always opt-in and controlled by you.

Biomarker Testing

How do at-home testing kits work?

We ship a collection kit to your home with clear instructions. Depending on the test, you'll collect a small blood sample (finger prick), saliva, or stool sample. Mail it back in the prepaid envelope, and results appear in your portal within 5-10 business days.

How often should I test?

We recommend every 3-6 months for optimal tracking. Testing every 3 months gives you real-time trend detection, while 6-month intervals work well for most users. Annual testing is the minimum for maintaining baseline insights.

What biomarkers do you test?

We offer panels covering metabolic health, hormones, vitamins & nutrition, inflammation, gut health, and genetics. Each panel tests multiple specific biomarkers—for example, our metabolic panel includes glucose, HbA1c, and insulin markers.

Are the test results accurate?

Yes. Our partner laboratories are CLIA-certified and use the same testing methods as hospitals and doctors' offices. Results are reviewed by licensed professionals before being released to your portal.

Features & Insights

What are TwinMe points and twin hearts?

TwinMe points and twin hearts are engagement and reward features we're currently developing. They will allow you to earn rewards by completing questionnaires, uploading data, and using features regularly. Stay tuned—these features are coming soon!

How does visual biomarker analysis work?

Our AI analyzes photos of your face, skin, and eyes to detect health indicators. Face analysis estimates biological age and stress levels. Skin analysis evaluates texture, hydration, and sun damage. Eye analysis looks at sclera color and other markers. All processing is secure and private.

What are lifestyle simulations?

Simulations let you explore 'what if' scenarios. Based on your data, you can see how changes like exercising more, improving sleep, or reducing sugar might affect your health markers over time. They're educational tools, not medical predictions.

Can I share my data with my doctor?

Yes! You can generate shareable reports or grant temporary access to healthcare providers. This is entirely optional and controlled by you. Many users find their twin data helps facilitate more productive conversations with their doctors.

Twinme is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only. The insights, scores, and simulations provided are not medical diagnoses and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for any health concerns.
