Bio-Signatures

A Bio-Signature is computed by a statistical algorithm from biomarkers associated with the same dimension of health or well-being. Read them together, in the context of your season.

THE APEX BIO-SIGNATURES

30 Bio-Signatures, grouped into 8 pillars.

Each pillar takes one angle on your season. Each Bio-Signature brings together molecules read in your sample and measurements from your sensors, your scale and your questionnaires.

1,403 distinct biomarkers · 5,825 biomarker readings across 30 Bio-Signatures

A biomarker can contribute to several Bio-Signatures: it counts once among distinct biomarkers, and once per Bio-Signature in readings.

Scientific sources

These peer-reviewed studies describe the biomarkers listed here and their relationship with biology, body measurements and daily habits. They provide scientific context for the biomarkers; they do not establish the performance of a TwinMe Bio-Signature.

SCIENCE AND METHOD

The science behind the reading.

A mass spectrometer captures thousands of signals in a few drops of dried blood, then a statistical algorithm groups them into Bio-Signatures. BioTwin’s 2026 paper in Digital Twin studies individual identification from these profiles.

Your questions.

Who is Apex designed for?

International-calibre athletes and their teams. Organisations can arrange participation for several athletes.

How do I collect a sample?

Use the finger-prick dried blood kit. Follow the collection, drying and packaging instructions, then return it by mail.

How is the collection schedule planned?

Around your season, with you and your staff. Important windows can include several samples; other periods can include a pause.

How many samples are included in a year?

52 kits a year. Their timing follows your training plan: three kits one week, then none the next, for example. The schedule is set with you before the start.

Can I take part outside Canada?

Yes, with logistics agreed before the start. Tell the Apex team about travel and competition destinations.

What will I see in TwinMe?

Your Bio-Signatures, history, connected readings, documents and reports. The Apex team introduces your program’s readings at the start.

Does a change between readings show that training is working?

Timing, meals, workload and sleep provide context. Discuss differences with your team; a difference alone is not proof.

What human support is included?

Protocol planning, calendar adjustments and reports throughout the season. Agree follow-up frequency at the start. Medical interpretation stays with your professionals.

What can my coach or organisation see?

You request the report and choose to give it to the recipient. Organisation access is agreed in writing before the start.

How are privacy and data rights handled?

Request access, correction or deletion and withdraw consent, subject to applicable rights and retention duties. Organisation arrangements are documented in your agreement.

What is Apex not intended to do?

Apex provides no diagnosis, clinical values, injury prediction or instructions that replace your professionals’ judgment.

Which devices can I connect?

More than a hundred sources: devices, wearables, lifestyle apps and third-party apps. Your portal’s Connected devices screen lists those available to your account; readings depend on the source and your permissions.
